Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 12, 2026
MuziQ is operated by Music Equity Group LLC. These Community Guidelines describe the everyday behavior we expect from artists and creators on MuziQ. They sit alongside — and never override — our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy. The AUP is the exhaustive list of what is prohibited; these Guidelines describe what a healthy MuziQ collaboration looks like.
1. Be authentic
MuziQ works because artists and creators show up as themselves.
- Use your real name or your established stage/creator handle. No impersonation of other artists, creators, brands, or public figures.
- Operate your own social accounts. Do not sublet, rent, or share creator accounts across MuziQ users.
- Post the content you actually made for the campaign. No re-uploading someone else's video, no "borrowed" edits, no AI-cloned voices without on-screen disclosure.
- Never buy views, likes, followers, comments, shares, or saves for a MuziQ campaign. Engagement pods, view bots, and paid engagement services are grounds for payout forfeiture and termination.
2. Respect rights and consent
- Artists: only launch campaigns for music you own or fully control. Include sample clearances, featured-artist consents, and publisher approvals before you press "Fund campaign".
- Creators: only use audio, footage, images, and likenesses you have the right to use. If a real person is recognizable in your video, you need their permission.
- Never use someone's personal information — address, phone, workplace, private social handles — without their explicit consent.
- Respect trademarks and brand marks. Do not imply a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement that does not exist.
3. Follow the brief, disclose the deal
- Read the campaign brief before you submit. Meet the required hook length, sound usage, hashtags, disclosure copy, and posting window.
- Disclose paid partnerships clearly, using each destination platform's built-in disclosure tools (for example TikTok's Branded Content toggle) plus a plain-language tag such as #ad or #paid in the caption. This is required by the FTC in the U.S. and by equivalent regulators in the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia.
- Do not delete a paid post before the campaign end date without written permission from the artist and MuziQ.
4. Keep it safe and lawful
The Acceptable Use Policy lists the categories of content that are never allowed on MuziQ. In everyday terms:
- No sexual content, nudity, or content sexualizing minors — ever.
- No hate speech, targeted harassment, or credible threats of violence.
- No promotion of terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm, or dangerous "challenges".
- No regulated or restricted products (firearms, drugs, alcohol to minors, gambling, unlicensed financial services) without prior written approval and jurisdictional clearance.
- No health, wellness, or earnings claims you cannot substantiate.
- No malware, phishing, or content that helps someone bypass platform or security controls.
5. Be professional in messages and reviews
- Reply to campaign messages within a reasonable window — 48 hours is a good target.
- No slurs, sexual advances, threats, or intimidation in DMs, submission notes, dispute filings, or public reviews.
- Give and take feedback in good faith. Retaliatory reviews after a payout dispute are treated as harassment.
- If a disagreement escalates, open a dispute inside the app instead of publicly attacking the other party.
6. Report what you see
Every campaign brief, artist profile, and submission has a Report control. If you see AUP-violating content — copyright infringement, adult content, extremism, spam, harassment, obvious engagement fraud — report it. Anyone signed in can file a report; rights holders and third parties can email support@muziqcollab.com.
Reports are acknowledged within 2 business days and actioned within 7 business days. In-app reports go straight to our trust queue at /admin/content-reports.
Please do not weaponize reporting. Filing knowingly false reports to attack a competitor is itself a violation and will result in action against your account.
7. Enforcement
When these Guidelines are broken, we generally follow the AUP's three-strike ladder: warning, 30-day suspension, permanent termination. Egregious violations — CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, terrorism, threats, human trafficking, coordinated fraud, or sanctions evasion — result in immediate permanent termination and referral to authorities.
Attempting to evade an enforcement action by creating a new account, using a different email, or acting through someone else is itself grounds for termination of every linked account.
Enforcement appeals: appeals@muziqcollab.com within 14 days of the action.
8. How we update these Guidelines
We update these Guidelines as the platform, our partners' policies, and applicable laws evolve. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 7 days before they take effect, except where a shorter notice is required by law, by a partner platform, or by an urgent safety issue. Continued use of MuziQ after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
